Then whats the point of having it if I'm not going to use it.
That's 1 reason why I'm going with the RAVELCO...

I'm hoping I can find a wire under the TPIM that will interrupt the start signal from the key without interrupting the start signal from the remote start.

I like this idea too. I've also wondered about good uses for reed switches like 14sport mentioned. There are plenty of creative ways to disrupt a thief and still keep things convenient.

P.S. Your pic and mine are oddly related! Haha. Good to know what my girl's skull looks like!

I'm not going with reed switch, I'm doing RFID.

Mine's a German Shepherd, but both German in origin and amazing dogs!

If you do anything trick, my advise is to build in an override like I did with mine in case you need to bring the Jeep in for service. The last thing you want is to have to show someone how to re-enable your rig.

And dog, if you want to use a reed switch, this is how I did it in my T/A.

I pulled the reed switch from a 79 cents HF alarm.

Because the leads were so tiny, I just cut the circuit board and used it as an assembly.

Good idea about the hidden override. I tested everything out last night and it works perfectly. I'm still waiting on a few parts to do a proper install, but I'm liking what I'm seeing... or not seeing

I'm torn if I should kill the fuel pump or just stick to the starter on a Automatic.

If everything fails and it's just the starter it won't start, but If it's the fuel pump it could die while moving which could be a bad day. I was thinking about using a latch relay set up for the fuel pump to prevent failure if the signal is lost, but I'm a wiring amateur and not sure if this is the best route for reliable fuel pump power.
