Default MCE Carbon Gen III Install and Review

So today I finished up installing my new MCE Gen III Carbon fenders. Over all install was pretty straight forward and not to technically difficult even though I did run into some minor issues along the way. Overall pretty happy with the look, but to be honest I did expect a little better quality for a almost $700 set of fenders. The hardware was pretty cheap and I had two of the lock nuts freeze up on me and had to cut them off, also I feel like the quality control could also have been a little better seeing as the passenger side seems to fit a little better that the driver side, and they are kind of thin(maybe this is since they are called flexible?) I ordered these after a lot of debate due to the carbon fiber look they have, and I will say that is very nice and I think goes very well with my black Rubi. Overall pretty happy, here are some pics, let me know what you think!![/URL[/URL[/URL[/URL[/URL

Looks like a pretty clean fit. Nice to see something a little different on a jeep. Just a tip, with my past experience on carbon fiber.. The clear coat can be thin and cause yellowing/fading pretty quick. Keep an eye on it

I see I'm not the only one who had 2 lock nuts freeze up and had to cut them off LOL! Looks great I like mine I still get the fender flapping a little bit I have adjusted them to try
and get them to stop. But I live in a pretty windy place.

I'm looking at getting MCE fenders also. That is a sharp looking jeep. What size tires do you have and do you have a lift. I have 33" tires and do not plan on getting a lift. Thanks

Hi, and Thanks!! This was when my jeep was on 35" MTR's, and yes I have a 2.5" Rock Krawler lift on my Jeep. I just recently moved up to 37's with the same lift and fender set up. With no lift you should have room for 35's if you choose and the 33's should look fine if you plan on keeping those for a while since the fenders have the factory lip on them still.
