Default Are new tires and wheels going to rub

Hello, newbie to the site. I know the answer is somewhere in this forum but this is much easier and i keep hearing different things on the interweb. Looking into getting some 285/75r16 hankook A/T's and some Pro Comp 7069's w/ 4" backspacing and wanting to do it w/o a lift for a while and eventually put 1 3/4" or 2" lift in down the road. But just wondering if anybody has that similar combo w/o a lift in it and how it rides. Oh and i have the unlimited sport package if that helps with suspension packages. Oh, and it's just a DD, no crazy off-roading yet.....

You should be fine with that set up.

Look up the stickies as they will answer most of the questions you may have.

There used to be a big FAQ's thread stuck there also. It was removed a while back for some unknown reason.

I had near that same combo on my last wrangler and for on road no issues at all. Mild off road ok too. this is with a 1.5" coil lift.

As others have said, you'll be fine. I'm running 33x12.50 with no lift, temporarily, and only slightly rub the air damn at full lock in reverse. Otherwise, I've done some moderate wheeling without disconnecting and had no issues.

the key is "without disconnecting."
With stock flares and disconnects, you WILL rub.

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

without a doubt. My discos have not been used since I put the tires on. Waiting to get a free day in order to install my lift.
