Poison Spyder Bumpers

I used rustoleum textured black. Too weak. Brush it with your arm walking past and it leaves a mark. Not really a fan of regular rattle can.
Bedliner is pretty bullet proof, but I haven't seen a bumper painted with it that I liked. The texture looks way too Smittybilt to me.
I think powder coat for a bumper is fine, but not rock sliders. If it's a good facility, it will be very tough. Just get it zinc primed first or it will rust.

I have had all of our armor powdercoated.
When the powder coat gets banged up wheeling, i touch it up after with POR15.
If you're patient, poison spyder will soon be offering their products powder coated with their SpyderShell Armor coat that is an architectural grade coating in satin black that boasts a 5 year warranty.
These will be available this year, i heard approx 3-6 months.

If you wheel spray paint or bed liner as you will bang rocks and need touch up. I wasted money on powder coating because it get scraped up, hind sight.
If it's a city vehicle powder coat it.

Against my better judgement, I had mine powder coated. Don't get me wrong, they look/ed amazing, but, as noted several times above, if you wheel it you will scrape the powder coat off. I've touched up with Rustolium. Not the prettiest bumpers any longer...
Some folks will elude that if the PC is done "right" this will not happen, but, when you have the weight of the rig pushing the front bumper into/up rock ledges, same happening to the rear coming off ledges, and the rig tip'd on it's side and the only thing keeping it from going over is the rockrails, doesn't matter the coating, it's going down to bare metal.

Little self-etching primer and Rustoleum brush-on bedliner. Looks good, holds up well, and really easy to touch up when it gets scraped up. Did my rear bumper, flares, and rear corners with it. Will do the front bumper once I actually get one!
