I was told that to do it, you have to send the flashcal to their facilities, and one of their technician would upgrade it to a flashpaq. Was also told that they are working on a downloadable upgrade where you do it from your computer like you do for updates. Which is most likely what they meant, I would think.

Don't worry about return shipping and waiting around, a quick internet update allows users to add Flashpaq tuning to their online shopping cart for only $179.00.

Enjoy the added power to accompany the tires and/or gears you've already dialed-in with Superchips Flashcal.

Just follow these easy steps:
Download Spark, Superchips Internet Update software, to your PC
Simply connect your Flashcal device to your computer
Add Jeep tuning to your online cart, only for $179.00
Your Flashcal device is now upgraded with Flashpaq Tuning
Tune your Jeep JK and then find a trail!

I got that same email.....I am thinking about doing it, but I'm just not sure if it is really worth the upgrade. I had it before on my 08 and I really couldn't tell a difference, but then again it was the 3.8L.
Interested to see what you guys think on the tunes on the 3.6.

So ... what's the experience with this programmer like anyway? Do you have to leave it plugged in like the bullydog?

I don't know about the others but you do not have to keep the bullydog plugged it once you add the program.
