User preference... For me, the receiver isn't significantly lower than the rest to be an issue.

When I have some spare cash its getting replaced and getting thrown in the back of my cousins demo truck
Not sure why you rip on the powder coat,,, they ship it raw and don't do the powder coat,, blame the person who did the work you are unhappy with!

Im really leaning towards the JCR bumper, really like the look of it and love that i can add a tire carrier as my wallet allows.

I think you'll be really happy with the JCR bumper. I'm running their stubby with a factory Mopar hitch and I like the fact that I could paint it my way and save some $$$ too. The welds are excellent and it's made in the USA.

A little shameless plug, they have cool decals and clothing too...

Actually at the time I bought mine they had an option for textured black powdercoat you just had to pay extra.

Just installed the Ace tonight. Rock solid and was a very straight forward install.

I've got he LOD stubby bumper and I am really happy with it. What sold me on this bumper was the fact that I could add attachements as I needed. Since I have owned the bumper I've added attachments for a Powertank, fuel and water Rotopax containers. I've towed my camper all over the country without any issues as well.
