Small question for you peeps running 37s

I have a 2011 2 DR, 2.5" TF coil lift, gave me alittle over 2.5" of lift gainz and flat fenders

Upgrading to 37" nittos, currently running 35s that measure out to be 33.5.. The rear tire well between the pinch seam and the tire itself I only have a few inches before it makes contacts with my 35s. My concern is my 37s will rub on it. I've trimmed it a few inches when I put on my PSC rock rails.


If I get upper and lower control arms to recenter the tire back, will I need a new drive shaft? I've read Planman's 37s thread cant seem to understand If I do or not, I have plenty of space for them to fit If I can just move the axle back a few inches

Putting bigger tires on shouldn't do anything to the geometry of your lift or driveshaft. Your driveshaft shouldn't change at all so it will be running at the same angle it is now.

So to my knowledge you shouldn't necessarily need a new driveshaft unless it's really starting to look worn from the 2.5" lift. Usually at 2.5" though you don't have to worry much about driveshafts. I have a 4 door so I pay more attention to those than the 2 door when it comes to the knowledge I stuff in my brain.

Of course my knowledge is limited so I'd definitely wait for the pros to chime in.

Thanks for your input! I'm confused on if I need a drive shaft if I use the lower and upper control arms to push axle back a little bit, I'll upload some pictures later. I don't think I do but I'm probably wrong.

i have the same lift on a 2 door running true 37s and did not need to push the axle back. im still running stock rear arms. i did however do more trimming to my pinch seam

Awesome, thanks. I'll have to see if I can trim more, I think my bushwhacker fatties maybe in my way by the seam
