Default Red rock 4x4 tire carrier

Anyone use these? Similar to the Teraflex version just cheaper.

Really doesn't look like it would do much. The Teraflex mount has a lot more engineering put into it to limit the stresses. That thing looks like it would just transfer all the stress to the top hinge.

FYI: I used to do advanced stress analysis on bridges

Yea I'm trying to figure out something that's not going to break the bank. My wife and I do triathlons and love the spare tire mount bike rack but not the extra weight on the carrier.

Generally when people use a higher end part for a comparison on a cheaper part the best advice is to spend the extra money and be confident no regrets are coming your way. Of course that method isn't for everyone

Default no.

I haven't seen the Red Rock one, but the TF one is worth every penny.

if you have to hold a 35, 37, or who knows, it's up to it.

you can put a 37 on there, then stand on the damn thing.

one handed opening of the tailgate, can't be beat.
