Riptide9 which joints did you use on the arms? Brand and part numbers would be awesome, I've been looking to replace the ones on my lift. I was either going to use MetalCloak or source some others.

I am sorry, but why would you order a new kit and replacement control arm joints? Just but a kit from a reputable company that uses quality joints. There are 8 joints in that kit that would equal $360 plus that kit uses a drop rear track bar bracket instead of properly raising the axle side bracket. No high steer adjustment is incluede in that kit either and drag link flip kits start at around $400.

So now to properly do that kit with quality joints you are looking at around 2K and don't forget to start saving up for new drive shafts ($700-$1000), at 4" of lift they will go at some point.

For 35" tires a 2.5" lift is more then enough and will not cause you the headaches or cost of a properly done 4" lift.

Draglink flip kits start at about $300. Regardless it still proves your point.

Just got done installing my lift this evening. I bought the 3.5" lift with the lower control arms. I have to say I'm happy with the kit so far. I don't plan on beating the piss out of my jeep or trailing it to hard so that's the main reason I went with the RC. I think it will work just fine for my application.

I would be more worried about driving the thing at highway speeds then off road. Lossing a control arm joint at 70 mph on a top heavy vehicle with compromised suspension and steering geometry does not sound fun to me. But if you are happy looking at it, then that is all that matters.

I'm not buying that it's going to fall apart while driving at a certain speed. I highly doubt any company would put a product out that would just fall apart at high way speeds. Makes no sense.

I guess you are just ignoing post 8. It may have been a bad batch of joints or those chinesse kids just didnt put them together right. I hope you have many years of quality wheeling from your new suspension.

I have had the 3.5 Rough Country lift kit on my JK for over two years now and haven't had any problems with it what so ever. I have put this lift kit through hell and still performs great.
