Default Small gouge in sidewall

Gouged one of my newer duratracs. Anything to worry about or is this a common thing? The darker spot is water.

Very shallow.

looks superficial, usually when it gets into the cords of the tire is when it is a problem. I'd say your good.

I've run tires like that without issue. Of course, depends on how deep that is, but that one doesn't look too deep. You could always make it the spare if you're worried about it.

Nothing to worry about by the looks of it but only you can tell how deep and bad it is...

Thanks for all the replies. Tire shop guy said it's nothing. I am in Ontario Canada and if one needs to get a safety cert (we do not have yearly inspections, only needed to plate a vehicle) there can be cuts to the sidewall just no cords exposed.

I was told outer rubber is to protect the polyester cording and not structural. He flipped it around on the rim and said be more careful next time...
