Smittybilt xrc 9.5 gen2 winch
So my Superwinch lp8500 finally crapped out. Time for a new one, and a water proof one at that. What's your thoughts and experiences with the Smittybilt XRC 9.5 gen2?

Sorry to hijack OP I'm looking for more feedback on the X20-10 Gen 2 winch too. Looks good out of the box, wireless remote, waterproof IP68 rating and good price are all appealing.

I have the winch and have already used it. It works great and installation was a snap. It hasn't been out long enough to talk longevity but so far so good. Mine also has patina on the name plate. Looks kinda cool actually.

I figured for what I use for the cheaper one was okay, especially seeing as It is still pretty waterproof. Also came with cover to avoid petina. Every winch I have had has rusted pretty quickly up here in 120" a year snow land with salt

Smittybil Gen 2 X20
I just bought the X2O 10 Gen 2. I have yet to really use it other than to test it's function. With that said, I really like the way it's made. I know you are asking about the XRC and not the X2O, but similar animal. I looked at the XRC, but it is waterproof up to 30 minutes and the X2O is waterproof for more than 30 minutes, not that I plan on making a submarine out of my JK. I also like that it comes with the wireless remote. I am pleased.
