The Spicer is still around $800- $1000 cheaper then a G2 last time I priced them.
I've said this before to you and I'll say it again the C's do in fact bend and are not "worry free" for trail use

Adding gussets to strengthen the C's is a relatively cheap addition

Chances are it's not the C, it's the tube. Have a good look. YJs and TJs had bent Cs, I have yet to see a bent C on a JK from anything other then a wreck ... Google it, see what you come up with. I have yet to see one, all I hear is " couple guys I know had Bent Cs".

Even if you truss, you still have a weak housing at the cast/tube connection. I built a G2 with an ARB and 35 spline RCVs for under $4k. I've replaced bent Cs.
Never said they were as strong or stronger then bigger tubes.

I honestly don't see enough upside to this axle over stock for the money.

Agree. Other then better Locker and axle options. However, If you have to pay someone to build your axle for you anyway, you may as well just order a G2, PR, TF, or Currie complete unit.

Right now the cheapest ive seen a spicer axle is $3000 with 5.13s, A new rubicon cheapest is just under 2000, but another 200 in parts plus labor to install the gears, so closer to $2500 when all said and done.

Spicer is at least $1,000 cheaper than any other after market d44

If I were to spend the money on a hd dana 44 front like dynatrac or G2 I would rather just put the money towards a 60.

I bent my C on the driver side and now have a Teraflex 44.

Where did you see $3k? I'm not aware of any shops looking to lose money...

4 wheel parts, Its listed at retail of $3800, Im not exactly sure they are losing money, its about 20% off. I feel like many of these axles are a little over priced, although I do understand the costs going into making them.
