69in wide over stock is about 65in wide. And be carefull with back spacing. A lot of 17s don't fit even with 3.5 backspace due to the brakes being so big. My trailready bl at 3.5 backspace barely fit and the brakes knocked a balancing weight off.

You are absolutely right. The Trail Ready's are what we've been selling most commonly with these axles. Unfortunately the Slab beadlocks do not fit in a 17" size. We have heard from Spicer that Walker Evans fit as well but I haven't put my hands on a set yet. We keep these axles in stock in both 4.88 and 5.38 ratios so let me know if I can help with anything!

That's ridiculous, I already run 4" backspace wheels and they hang about 3" past my poison spider flares. If I have to add another 3" to that I'll have almost the whole wheel out past the flares. Are people expected to use 20" wheels just to clear the brakes?

You could use 18". Good tire selection in that size.

Keep in mind that the axles are affordable because they use parts already in production. These days it's hard to find a truck on 17s.

One obvious wheel option is to use the 17s that come stock on the Ram 2500. Those will have quite a bit of back space, which would fix your issue. And they'll be really cheap to pick up used.

This is the best pic I have so far to show how much the wheels stick out. 17x8.5 with 3.5 backspace. I don't think it's to much and honestly would like about another inch out on each side

toyo 40x1350r17. The pic may make it a little more aggressive so I measured. From furthest point of the fender to furthest most out part of the tire is 5.5in out in the rear and 8.5in out in the front. I do have the poison spyder narrow fenders up front. Covers about 2/3 tire in rear and about 1/3 tire in front

I have trail ready beadlocks on my stock axles now and the dish part of the back side of the wheel is all flat right from the lip to the back of the spokes, if that space is enough to clear the diameter of the brakes I'm unsure of how backspace makes a difference? If I am wrong could someone please explain, perhaps northridge could chime in as they are selling these rims to fit. I would really like to stick with 17s and a backspace of about 5" as I don't plan to ever run bigger than 37s. Thanks
