Default Stock rubi rails

Are they any good as to providing protection? Someone on craigslist selling a set for 2 door, just wondering if worth getting.

They are pretty solid. But they don't stick out at all so the possibility of body damage is still a decent chance.

Popular setup is adding the ACE slider for additional protection.

They are decent for what they are, just a little extra protection for the occasional light brush or scrape. If you like to play in the rocks, you would probably be much better off going a different route. (people will chime in with how they beat the snot out of them, continue past those posts and find the pics of all of the body damage from not having frame mounted sliders. Consider your intended use...)

How much are they asking? I grabbed two sets of 4door rubi rails off of craigslist, one for 50, the other for 40. Usually, they are listed in the 100-150 range.

Default mines came with them on a rubicon

i had ace on my sport and took them off , i found the ace ones to be a obstacle is all
they looked ok but getting in and out was a chore . I prefer my stock rock rails only . just my choice , id grab them if there a good price . As other post mentioned , i dont play in big rocks so no issue here. The ace ones might stop a shopping cart but ill take the chance
