Default Synergy draglink flip kit install. Drilling the knuckle was a little nerve wracking

Got my synergy installed this Saturday. Gotta say I was kinda nervous when it came time to drill out my steering knuckle. I initially went with the 13/16 and planned one dremmelling it out so the adapter would fit. Well too much grinding so I then grabbed the 7/8 drill bit and ever so carefully des another bigger hole in the knuckle. The adapter fell in like money and was tight. Simple as that. Only thing left was putting the stock pitman arm back on and bolting the drag link up. This was a simple mod that helped drivability of my JKUR a ton. Highly recomend this mod👍👍

I've been seriously considering getting this as well. What kind of steering issues were you having before that this solved? I feel like mine, which has a 4" Skyjacker lift, is a bit flighty at Highway speeds, which I understand adjustable LCA's will help. But I also get a bit of a shimmy at lower speeds, about 45mph or so, not quite DW, but still noticeable. You think the drag link flip will help with the shimmy?

I highly recommend a 7/8" step bit for this job. No pre drilling necessary and you can use a regular power tool in your drive way because the step bit is so easy to use.

I had bad flighty issues. It felt like I was constantly fighting the wheel left and right. It took all that away. My steering is super right and responsive. I have 6" lift on my JKUR. My avatar has 4 1/2 lift.

I highly recommend the 7/8 drill bit over the 13/16. Just my .02. I feel it will take a lot of the flighty ness out. As far as shimmy, check your torque settings on control arms and track bar first.

Sounds like something I need to invest in. Any tips for install other than the 7/8 drill bit?

Just drill the knuckle out straight and use a lubricant. It's easier if you have a buddy help out. The drag link is beefy. Worse part for me was removing the drop pitman arm. If u decide to do it let me know. I still have the 7/8 drill bit I will send you. That will save a few $

So the 7/8 bit fit the 13/16 adapter?

This is what I did. The step bit centers itself much better and is easier to control. I would follow up with a standard 7/8's bit to get the last 1/8" of an inch because the step bit was too short.

Keep it well lubricated and you should be fine.
