Default Tell me about aftermarket headers--

i have a 2011 JKU with about 90K miles, MBRP Catback Exhaust & 513 gears.

would aftermarket headers get me any more of a boost in power or torque. i know they're not magic, but would they help?

the RIPP headers talk about added performance. will i still be emission legal? i don't want to trade one problem for another.

is it worth the money?

how challenging is the install?

thanks
steve

Check out engine masters on Motor Trend's YouTube channel. Headers have almost no performance impact until you're in very high displacement / high boost engines.

The only changes you see on modern engines come in either forced induction or different tuning / fuel types. Cone filters and headers are just appearance or sound changes.

You also run into potential for burning up plug wires.

The short tube headers will burn the plug wires . The ripp long tubes don't have that problem. I have been looking at getting a set of the ripp ones but man is that price high
