Default Teraflex D30 diff cover

It's installed on '09 JK. Stout piece of hardware, but there's a brass drain plug that sticks out at the bottom of the cover, just above. The bottom-most bolt. I think I'm gonna tear this thing off on the rocks if the diff takes a frontal hit. Anyone have any experience with this piece of hardware and the drain plug?
