Fills out the wheel wells and givers the Jeep a little wider stance. Handling benefit is noticed immediately too, goes from rolling like a ship in high seas to handling like a Lamborghini soon as you put them on. I would get the set, try them for a week and if you absolutely hate it, you can sell them and not be out a ton of cash either.
That is really good to hear. I guess I was just going off of what some of my friends have said regarding spacers ruining wheel bearings. Do you know of that happening at all? I like the way Jeeps look with spacers I was just always afraid that it would cause problems.

running a stock rim with a 1.5 wheel spacer Is no different for wear on front end parts then running a rim with 4.5 backspacing.

I've been running the Ridge Grappler in the 285/70R17 for about 6-7k miles now and love them. Super smooth and quiet. I've done a few highway trips anywhere between 5-600 miles round trip and they do great. I had them in the snow and mud last weekend and didn't have any issue once.

You definitely don't want a part that is going to strain your driveline or something that is just going to shim your wheels. I'd want to know what those friends had on their jeeps. Maybe that can help you find out why the bearings failed. I can really only speak to my own experience. I did the research before making a decision to buy my adapters and I'm very happy with my decision. You'll have to put some time in yourself but you also have the benefit of 8 more years of early adopters sharing their stories than I did.

I ran the MXT's for 2.5 years on a Tacoma daily driver. Even at the end of their life they still had great road manners. I would definitely recommend them. I can't really remember the mileage I got out of them, but I want to say it was around 40-45,000. I would take it through the rocks every now and then, and never once had any chunking on the lugs. That being said my Tacoma wasn't locked so it saw it's fair share of spinning. The size I was running was a 285/70r17.

So you guys are saying that a 275/70 18 tire will fit onto the stock sahara rim without an issue correct?
So I'm not sure anyone answered this but are spacers/adapters needed?

Needed is a tough thing to answer. No they are not needed in the sense that they will fit on the rims fine. You will get some rubbing on the sway bar and the air dam at full lock. For DD it's not going to hurt anything. However if you off road and disconnect ever you really do want them if you are staying with stock rims. A 1 inch puck on top of the spring pad will also keep you from rubbing the stock fender at full turn and full compression.
