Default AEV Coil Spacer Question?

Hi Folks,

I've tried searching and can't find quite what I am looking for... Hoping someone wiser than I can provide some guidance!

Current set-up is an 09 Rubi 2dr with a Rough Country 2.5" coil lift & shocks. Due to bigger tires & new rear bumper the rear is now sagging about 1.25" lower than the front.

I have a 2" AEV BB kit sitting in my shop... Is there any reason I can't (or shouldn't) just install the rear portion of this kit to level the Jeep out? I realize the rear would now sit higher than the front but I'm OK with that.

Any (constructive) input is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance,

André

I currently have the AEV spacer lift on my jeep. All it does is sit on top of the spring; and since you are just using it to regain some height that you lost from weight, I don't see any way it would hurt anything.

That would work perfect for you.

You will be set back to a good height.

Thank you both - just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing or unaware of.

Cheers,

André

Spacers work when a spring is supporting the weight OK, but more height is needed. I'd never use a spacer to compensate for a spring that has sagged. Replace the springs. Its the same amount of work and not much more money.

I would install a 1" Teraflex spacer. I think it's a better design.
