I'm down in East Bridgewater so either a 30 minute ride for each of us or we meet up at a N.E event sometime soon if the worst happens!

Good luck!

I used a dremel to trim mine when I had it. Took a few minutes.

I just cut a half moon out of mine. No rubbing now.

Definitely go this route. If you remove it you may get "hood flutter". Your hood will start bouncing around and prematurely wearing out the latches. If you get an after market bumper get a skid for right there. Some bumpers have some type of "wind deflector" built in. All you need is a utiliy razor.

If it matters at all, I took mine off and have never had hood flutter. Admittedly, I replaced it with a small skid plate, though it's hard to see it as making much of an improvement in overall air flow.

But--that's not to say you won't get hood flutter. I know folks who have taken off--and not taken off--their air dams and gotten flutter.

Either way, you can get replacement hood hold downs if it starts to flutter. Or just zip tie your hood spring.

For those who have trimmed, what kind of tool/saw did you use?
Trimmed mine when I got my 35's on. think we used tin snips, but don't quote me
