Default Unlimited Rear Seat Removal

I'm about ready to remove my rear seats and was interested in any and all ideas, pm's, links, pics, plans, kits and experiences you've had regarding the same. I almost never have any rear seat passengers other than the dogs and these seats just seem to get in the way even when they're folded down.

I just took the rear seats out of my 4 door and it freed up a lot of space. Your dogs will enjoy the extra room to stretch out as mine have!

The bolts holding the seats to the the floor can be a PITA. You'll likely need an impact gun or breaker bar to break them loose. These bolts are pretty long and they hold on tight until you get them all the way out.

The small and large fold down seats are bolted to each other on a hinge down by the floor. I found it easier to separate the seats first before I pulled them out.

Good luck.

Aluminum support brackets:

The platform with Engel Slidelocs:

And the backup battery setup:

I added a subwoofer to the other side, but don't have a pic of that yet. :-)

1/4" aluminum angle iron. Slightly overkill I know.

The SlideLoc feet can be bolted to anything, including Zarges cases.

Here's a picture of the Jeep loaded for a trail:
