I'm a mechanical engineering student, who happens to have a few years of machining, fabrication, and welding experience. All the stuff I have is either cheaply made by some Chinese people, or cheaply made by my own two hands.

But really, my grandma has been the purchasing secretary for the machine shop I used to work at for 30+ years and she gets me really good discounts from the companies that they buy from. Steel drops are also helpful.

Yes, there are those here who just buy what they want without worrying about if they can afford it cause they have plenty of money to spend. This is life my friend. Some with, some without. I really think that those who can buy what they want at any time may not appreciate it as much as those who must wait many months or years between purchases. The truth is, you picked an expensive hobby. Just be happy with what you do have. There are some who are just daydreaming about owning a Jeep, and you have one. Don't compare yourself with what others have, be content with what you do have. You can enjoy a stock jeep for a long time and 'dream' of the time when it will be customized.

Do not be (ENVY) of what others have at their time in their life. Take your time and enjoy it and slowly build it, it does not have to be done overnight. And they may be in debt more than you for having it all done. Save your money and try to pay for things in cash and not credit.
