Winches
From what I've heard so far, cant go wrong with a WARN. Yes, more $ but it appears they typically transfer from Jeep to Jeep Think of it as an investment more than a purchase. I'd suggest the Zeon 10,000 SYN. No need for the plat.

If you want to call us I can apply a 10% discount. Will put you at $495. We can also get you a strap and d-rings for a good price.

I've had an Engo, it served me well, until it didn't.
I now have a Warn Zeon synthetic. Costs a bunch more but when you need to rebuild it you won't need to search for parts.

I have an engo 10000 S on mine. If I had the money, I would have went Warn but couldn't justify spending that kind of money. My Engo has gotten me out of a few sticky situations (including the one below) and pulled out full size trucks. At the same time it has left me stranded in the middle if no where. One great thing is Engo has a good warranty/ customer service so if something goes wrong they will hook you up.

My philosophy on winch buying is this:
If you wheel alone or have the money to spend, you can't go wrong with Warn.
If you wheel with a group with several winch, the chances are low that ALL the winches in the group will fail. So buying a "cheap" winch is ok. Of the cheap winches, I wold go with Engo then Smittybilt.

I have had a Warn Zeon 10 for two years and love it. Wouldn't own a different winch. That being said I've had smittybilt and superwinch, but in my opinion they just don't compare to my Zeon.
