Default What's a "stinger' bumper for?

Apart from making your rig look like a rhino, what's the purpose of 'stinger' hoops on front bumpers?

All my wheeling has been in mud/woods. Maybe it's a rock thing?

In some rollover cases it will keep you from tarring up your hood and grill.

Default Thanks!

Never even considered it as a forward-travel limiter.

Ok - now that I know it's function, it's beautiful. I guess I'm a 'form is defined by function' sort.

Thanks!
