Count Tracy and I in no matter where we go. I doubt we can get to slick rock due to road closure. I think we could get to run corral hollow unless it has locked gate. Would be more of a snow run. We ran it last May and could only get a few hundred yards in due to snow. We'll go up early and camp sat night if weather is nice.

Maybe we hit the Rubicon early this year
..or go summer mode and hit some dunes down in San Luis Obispo/Pismo Beach haha. Pine Mountain Trail is also next to Oceano Dunes SVRA.

Yeah, there's supposed to be a pretty good dump of rain for the bay and the valley over Easter weekend. I'll be surprised if they open Slickrock early...

I was just kidding around on those trails haha. Even though there are guys that do it, I don't think I'd want to run the Rubicon in 1 day and then still have to make the 3.5hr trek back to the East Bay. Plus we've got 1 guy running with us who's just breaking in his rig and another who just started modding up over the winter. Not going too hard yet and 1 that I know of still needs skids.
Pismo would be fun but yeah, that's a 4hr trek for the guys in Stockton. 3.5hr for me.
I think Strawberry would be the best bet. Barret Lake & Hell Hole are nearby for those who might want more action afterwards assuming those trails are open.

Hey guys I just called the forrestry office and they said slick rock wont be open until the 15th. She said weather permitting but as it stands that is the earliest it will open. Time for plan B.
On a side note im out for pismo im still cleaning sand out of my tent from two years ago when we took the quads down there.

if that's the case, then best to do Slick Rock for the 18th/19th.
For those still interested in doing a run on the 12th, do the alternates of Strawberry Pass (3 hours thru) and/or Hell Hole (3 hours in-n-out).
Strawberry would be a good run for those not running skids. Hell Hole is apparently higher on the difficulty scale.
For reference:
- Cleghorn Bar
- Spanish Route
- Sherman Pass
- Cow Mountain
- Bald Mountain
- Strawberry Pass
- Wheeler Ridge
- Freeway Ridge
- Slickrock Trail
- Hollister Hills
- Pine Mountain
- Pichacho Peak
- High Lakes
- Deer Valley
- Hell Hole
- Signal Peak
- Coyote Lake
- Mirror/Strawberry Lakes
- Snake Lake
- Swamp Lake
- Niagara Rim
- Barrett Lake
- Dusy/Ershim Trail
- Rubicon
- Fordyce

I'm good with what ever works for the group. If I need to build skids I can stay later at work and get them done. Or if we push back a week that's fine also. Just keep me posted it's all good, I wheel to relax so I'm easy going on the schedule.
