Hello fellas i'm going to pass for this weekend. I'm going to push it back a few more weeks, really don't feel like sliding into stuff. Only six payments in major body damage might not sit well with the wife lol. I'm thinking like may 9th and 10th I really want to be able to camp and crawl. Any takers for this plan besides me?

How hard is the trail? How long? And how far is it from Marin County?

I'm not sure on your distance but you can use your gps for an aproximate time. I just type in Arnold Ca. and its like 2 hours from Stockton. And as far as changing to the 17th that might work. I would have to check my schedule I know we have plans for the 16th. But that may only be in the morning, I really want to camp. But we can throw it out there and see who else is on board. As far as how hard it is, better to let one of the other guys comment on that i havent ran it in years.

Figure on 3-1/2 to 4 hours from Marin county. A stocker can do most of the trail but it will be hairy in spots depending on what happened to the trail over winter.

What do you think Justin? You think that sloped granite wall and/or the slick rock prior to the stairs is gonna be an issue with the wet/snow conditions that may still be around?

I'm fine checking things out and turning around halfway if need be. Just need to make sure getting out is hopefully just as easy as getting in or it's gonna be a winch fest

I'm good with going up and seeing how far we can get in. First time I ran slick rock it was snowing few inches during memorial weekend few years ago. I'm pretty sure we'd be fine as far as slipping and sliding around. Deep snow and mud, plus anything that has fallen onto trail more of a concern. It's mostly an easy trail, a few rock crawling areas and the ladder are only concern. Tracy and I have run it by ourselves few times. You'd have no problem Ed.
