Justin and I met with Hayward and Mindy recently in Hollister on March 8, here they are coming up trail, and am very thankful we got to enjoy one last ride and dinner with them. Most of the runs I went on were with Hayward and Mindy. He was a quiet guy, but super nice and quick to help anyone at anytime. You could count on him for anything. He always had his little RC Jeep with him and he was driving it around at Hollister, always made me smile. He had a great passion for Jeeps, big and small. Here he is on our 2014 Rubicon driving around his little RC Jeep. He will be GREATLY missed, I'm glad I got to know him through our Jeep family.

Read this thread with a very heavy heart. Hayward was the kindest most selfless Jeeper I befriended...
The situation hits very close to home with me and I cannot imagine what his family is going through.
Godspeed to Hayward and Mindy... Prayers for a swift physical recovery and hopeful she can find solace knowing he is rested and was very much so respected and loved...

Well I guess the only explanation I can think of is that not only did the good man upstairs need another good-hearted soul to help him out, but obviously there's some pretty good wheelin' on the other side and he needed the right person to help weld their rigs.
Thanks Hayward. Hope to see you when my time comes should the good Lord allow it.
