Niagara Rim - Oct 10 and 11
Hey guys,
A bit of a n00b to this forum, but wanted to put the invite out there anyways. Running Niagara Rim October 10 and 11. Trail looks super fun, with lots of tough obstacles for whoever wants them, and bypasses around most of them for whoever doesn't: 4x4TrailMaps - Niagara Rim
Plan is to run the trail Saturday, and camp at the OHV campground Saturday night for whoever wants to, then head home Sunday morning.
Meeting at the Niagara OHV Campground at 11am: http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/stani...a/?recid=15043
Let me know if you're in.
Brian

I am local to the trail, it is fun. A few sketchy spots when its muddy.
But... You need to call to see if it is open. It is a seasonal trail that shuts down once rains hit to prevent it being damaged. So call the forest service (summit ranger district in pinecrest) and make sure it will be open. As we just had some heavy rains.

Alright - the trail is indeed open, but interest has been prettttty low, so not sure this run is still happening. If anyone wants to go anywhere else that's closer to them or something, let me know and I'm down. Albino Lizard, I'm not ignoring your Slick Rock comment, I've just done that one twice this year so trying to hit a new spot (though Slick Rock is awesome).
