Default Rubicon Run October 16, 17, 18

As the title says we are doing a Rubicon Run leaving Friday the 16th and coming out on the 18th.

The plan is to go in from Loon, camp at Buck Island, then Saturday make our way to Rubicon Springs and camp. Then head out Sunday.

So far its myself, 2 YJ's and a TJ. Anyone is welcome, from stock to built we aren't in a hurry.

This trip sounds great! I've been wanting to try out my new rig on the Rubicon. Room for one more?

Think a 4 door JK Rubicon with a 2.5" lift can make it? I like the fact that this trip is at a relaxed pace with camping too. Are any of you guys bringing kids or is this more of a dudes-trip only? I've got experience wheeling but have never attempted the Rubicon and this is my first Jeep. The last trail I did was Slick Rock and I walked right through it with zero trouble. Would love to actually push the limits of this thing and have some fun

I'm mostly stock besides a stubby front bumper, winch, tow hooks, etc. Stock tires at the moment but could upgrade before October I guess. I will need to get some under-armor too asap!

You are more than welcome. I think a 4 door with only 2 1/2" lift and stock tires might drag some, but like you said we aren't in a hurry and half the fun is helping people. The one thing I would suggest getting is sliders. You will definitely use them.

Normally it is just a bunch of guys, but a couple wives/girlfriends may go this trip. Kids would be more than welcome though.

Yes most definitely Diff Covers, good call.. Are the valve stems exposed on the stock Rubicon rims?

I think the newer style wheels are better. But the older ones with metal valve stems and tpms. Watch out for those

My 2013 wheels haven't had any problems with the valve stems getting hit. (Not yet at least)
