Shop/trails/camps
Just moved from San Diego to Novato. Are there any 4X4 shops in the area? and where are some good camping and trails spots to go to. i was told of Loon Lake and Hollister Hills. Any others?

All the good stuff is out by the Sierras. BKGM is hosting a run this Saturday in that area if you're interested. I believe it's a more mild run since they've got some newbies coming along but it'll be a good opportunity to meet with others.
I'm setting up a run for 4/26 at Slick Rock. You're welcome to join but I would recommend at least skids and sliders.
There's Cow Mountain which is in Ukiah just north of you. Probably only an hour away. Looks like a similar setup to Hollister but just on the North bay-area side.
Cow Mountain Recreation Area, Ukiah Field Office, Bureau of Land Management California
There are shops in/around that area but none I have any experience with.

Welcome to the area. I have a question what's worse leaving San Diego or driving the civic?
I guess you could take up street racing while you wait for your jeep lol

Well I lived in Kansas so I'm liking the "little weather change." As for the Civic, I can't hate too much with 40MPG. So it's not TOO bad BUT so I would say leaving SD is worse. (If I had to pick) Hahaha
