RIPP 2012 Jeep Wrangler 3.6L V6 Dyno Test

Honestly, I expected a little more with all of the positive comments on this forum. It is better IMO, just not in a big way. Check it out: RIPP Dyno Test

I must say: I was seriously considering the trade but not any more. With all of my mods, loss of depreciation and no payments.... it wouldn't be very wise :yup:

"It produces 180 rear wheel HP and 150ft/trq (AT the rear wheels)"

What kind of dyno?

What do stock 3.8 do on the dyno?

I doubt they are done tuning it and giving it boost. I expect they will get more out of the 3.6.

Its not a test of a 2012 with a RIPP Supercharger but showing the difference between stock 3.6 and stock 3.8's. Once they have a supercharger and headers for the 3.6 its going to make swtiching to a Hemi less appealing.

Here is the thread started by Ripp about it https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...6-Dyno-Results

The torque is almost identical. If you are willing to live in the 5500+ rpm range :eek2: the 3.6 does make an additional 40 hp over the 3.8.

When the time comes I'll be more than happy with a 3.6. Until then I'm satisfied with my 3.8 and cant wait till I can finally get headers and supercharger for my current Jeep. Then the same for the Grand Cherokee SRT8 then again for my 3.6 when i get one and Ripp has one for it.

I miss read the thread title. Thought RIPP was already testing a SC on a 3.6!

you should just see about getting your hemi supercharged with some new headers. Im sure they could. Then youd have the best of both worlds

Ha, that would be fun. I do not think my stock axles and drive shafts would hold up to that kind of HP and I am not ready to spring for 60's yet.

I am actually quite surprised the stock stuff has held up for over 20k miles of the 6.1 as it is.

Well, except for the tires.

I am following what RIPP does with the 3.6 because down the road I think I am going to get my wife a JKU.
