Converting from manual to power windows
I bought a 2 door jeep that rolled. It needs 2 doors and I found some used doors. How difficult would it be to wire the other harness that supplies the power to the door? Is it worth or possible to do?

It is manual windows now and I want to know how difficult it is to convert to power windows. I was not sure if it is a plug and go or more intense.

I would assume it's more intense. I know in 2007, a few members were trying to come up with their own power window solution, but it was pretty involved.
Taking jeep parts, I would assume you need to see if the proper harnesses for the switches are somewhere stuffed behind the dash. Then you would need to see if the harness connecting the door to the jeep body has the proper wires within it for the windows. Finally, I would assume you would need to find a dealer with a star-scan tool to tell the jeep you now have power windows. |
Quadratech has power window conversion for Jeeps. With all necessary equipment that you will need. I don't know if the link will show up or not but if it doesn't the part number is JE17. Hope that helps.

Power windows & door locks
I have considered doing this as well.
It is an old thread but hopefully will get a response. |
