being an aerospace engineering graduate myself, the wrangler is about as bad as it gets regarding vehicles and DC. certainly doesnt compare to a 777

Mech E grad student here. I know the JK is a better coefficient of drag compared to all earlier models (I read an article about this shortly after the JK came out that the slightly swept back grill and windshield compared to the earlier models helped it somewhat). According to Reynolds number (that characterizes the fluid flow regime) the flow becomes turbulent before you even hit 1 mph so think it terms of turbulent flow. If it helps it looks like the SRT-8 grand cherokee is a drag coefficient of 0.39 (which I am sure is much better than the JK) so compared to the 0.55 of the TJ I would say a good estimation of the drag coefficient for the JK would be ~0.5. Finally I would think the drag would be essentially the same for the 2dr and 4dr as the entry and exit profiles of them are identical and the additional skin drag of the extra length of the 4dr is negligible compared to the drag created by flow over the hood and rear of the Jeep.

Hope this helps as I understand how it is having engineering projects and not being able to find accurate info.

Can't you just test it by holding up a 4x8 sheet of 3/8" plywood on a windy day?
