AEV Pintler wheels (argent)
Just got these in today so i snapped a few detail pics for those that are considering these wheels.
I will be running a 35x12.5x17 tire with these. Probably the Cooper Discoverer STT or a BFG Mud Terrain. The powder coating in the lug nut holes didn't quite make it down all the way but i am going to have them recoated bronze anyways. Overall they look pretty nice. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y22...k/IMG_4318.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y22...k/IMG_4324.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y22...k/IMG_4322.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y22...k/IMG_4317.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y22...k/IMG_4321.jpg |

They look great. The more I see the argent Pintlers, the more I start wanting aftermarket wheels.

Nader,
They are awesome looking and I've been happy with mine. I just suggest you get a socket that will fit the socket wells. If you use the stock lugs its a 19mm thin wall socket. Here's mine after installation. http://my.project-jk.com/data/500/me...icture_003.jpg B~ |
did your lug holes also look like they werent completely coated? Mine were immediatly noticeable once I opened the box. For 200 bux per wheel I would expect a little better quality control than that. Especially from AEV.

mine were noticable... not anything that i was all that worried about. once you put the lugnuts in you cant see there anyway.
since they are powdercated there probably isnt much you can do about it... the wheel is electrically charged and they mist the powder in front... any particles would stick to the surface of the wheel/front of the hole before making it to the back of the hole. they are aluminum so any "missed" areas should be fine... |
