Bf goodrich mt tires vs hankook dynapro mt tires

Which ones should I get? What's the noise like on them? How do they ride?

HippieHunters 03-25-2012 06:40 PM

I vote BFGs.

AJMBLAZER 03-26-2012 05:42 AM

What's your intended use?

For my money I'd go with the BFG's. Heard good about both but the BFG is a known performer offroad and the Hankook looks a bit like it might gum up.

FoxRacingJMC 03-26-2012 05:45 AM

While BFG's are considered to be good because of their "popularity", I won't take anything away from them cause they are good, but they have weak sidewalls. The Hankook Dynapro MT is a 10 ply tire, much stronger in that aspect compared to the BFG's out there...

I've got some 29" Dynapros right now (2.5L, embarrasing, I know). Haven't had a chance to use them on any real trails yet, just logging roads covered in snow. They did pretty good in the snow though, had a decent amount of grip. Pretty good on the road, since they're 29s they arent very loud. The tread looks pretty good though and so far no complaints with them. Parked next to a guy yesterday with Dynapros also on his JK, looked to be about 33s but didn't get a chance to talk with him. IMO they get the job done, but like I said, haven't gotten a chance to put them to the test and they're my first set of tires so I don't have anything to compare them to.

The Dynapros spanked the BFGs in a recent test by A Certain Four Wheel Magazine. :yup:

yea the hankooks way better than bf. Have them in 33 and recently took them in too a muddy farmer field to get fire wood with a trailer and they ate through the mud like nothing great tire and not noisy at all. You can feel the tread as your slowing down and taking off but they are great.

I currently run GY Duratrac but will replace with the Hankook when they wear out!

PA Mojave 03-27-2012 04:23 PM

My Mojave came with 32" BFG KM1's I have 32" Dynapros on my 2.5L TJ.
When the JK needs tires, they WILL be Dynapro MT's

Cmayer87 04-19-2012 05:10 PM

Look in to the BFG KM2's. I run Mickey Thompson MTZ's but have friends w/ both Hankooks and BFG KM2's All of us are impressed w/ the KM2's
