Great write-up thanks.
I just purchased some CRC throttle body cleaner and was going to get to work. I read the can and it says not to get the spray on any plastic surface. The blade is metal, but the throttle body is some kind of plastic. It also says safe for coated throttle bodies? Anybody know if it will be safe to use? Should I buy another brand?

Right on. will do.
Thanks.

Pulled my T.B. off tonight and looked the same as the original posting picture. Wanted to comment on the 4 bolts holding the T.B. to the intake - they are female torx bolts....which are generally found on European vehicles.

Not sure if these have changed over the years or not - I have a 2007 X - used a 5/16 socket to take them off as I don't have 'female torx (star) sockets'......

dumb question but would break cleaner work or would it foul something? what is the spray you need to do the sensor itself?
