You try calling Quadratec? They don't list everything online. Plus they can email you pics

could you buy replacement latches for a tj and older type jeep? Quadratec and 4wd warehouse sell replacement parts maybe that would work?

Bestop sells the same ones

Google "bestop door latches" and you'll have several to choose from:thumbsup:

Kind of expensive though. I thought about them when I built my 1/2 doors but went a different route.

Good luck,
Jim

Have you thought about making a trip to your local junk yard?

thanks for the answers, I bought a set of latches from an old vw rabit and they work pretty good, they are similar to the ones used in hot rods, the advantage is that i can get them locally for less than 5 bucks each, and since I'm going to be selling the tube doors its a big advantage. thank you.

this would not work at all, we tend to think that rancho uses and old tj handle, but is not true the tj's latches and handles are huge and expensive.

I found a small latch online. easy to mount. The only problem is they are intended for a much larger striker, but i just made a quick shim out of plastic tubing, it has to be replaced a few times a summer, but works fine and i didn't have to remove the existing stock striker. It's not pretty, but works. I'll take some pictures of the final product when i get the chance, (The doors have been through a few iterations sense these photos were taken).
