Default SEMA Revisited - 2015

I recently found out that we will be going to Las Vegas again this year to represent Eibach and a few other sponsors as a 2015 SEMA Feature Vehicle. We were the Eibach Booth Vehicle in 2014, showing off their new 3" ALL-TERRAIN-LIFT Kit and this year we have added their new PRO-ALIGNMENT Control Arms to the Jeep.

Part of the idea this time is to show how the system has held up over a year's worth of use. This Jeep is my daily driver and my weekend trail rig. It has taken us to the CA/AZ deserts, Moab & the Rubicon, just to name a few, and has performed flawlessly.

We have also done a few other mods and added some new accessories over the past month or so and will be highlighting those in the coming days.

We have spent the last couple weekends getting things ready for the show starting with new Bartact Seat Covers in Graphite and Black.

These are the best fitting and toughest seat covers I have ever installed in a vehicle, and the Molle straps and internal pockets make them extremely versatile and useful. The directions tell you to cut a hole in the cover for the headrest, but to not worry because they won't tear. And it's true - I could not tear the fabric, even with a hole started by a knife.

We also added some grab handles to the headrests and the roll bars.

Next on the install list was the Genesis Offroad Jeep JK Dual Battery Kit

This took a little while since you have to remove the factory battery tray. The factory tray holds the battery, the fuse box and the air filter, so that all has to come out to make room for the new dual battery tray.
And then you have to cut the tray to retain the mounts for the airbox and air filter.

I have to say that the Genesis Installation Instructions are very detailed and easy to follow and they include a lot of pictures .

Made room for 2 new Odyssey Group 34 Batteries.

And then I installed POWERTANK - CO2 Air Systems Monster Valves in my wheels to aid in airing up & down on the trail. It was a little nerve-racking to drill holes in my wheels, but after the first one - the rest were no big deal.

I aired up this 35" tire - from zero to 30 PSI - in about 40 seconds. Incredible!!!

I'll stop by and say hi, if I get the chance. I'll be in the Ridetech booth #22587.
