I checked Jeep.co.uk and guess what:

1). Ruby diesel - NO manual - Auto only
2). X & Sahara - get a manual with their Diesels

Hope thats not the case when a diesel goes into production here - ya gotta have a manual

Mine is a 4 door CRD Rubi with manual

What ARE we doing on a thread from 2006??
Anyway, Diesel Rubicons are made with manual and with auto. Mine's auto and it's a better buy, as the manuals are geared so highly they can't reach their top speed. Furthermore, the manual gearbox is weaker and can't shouldn't be tuned.

Mumble... Top Speed... Mumble... I drove my Rubi up to 175 km/h (GPS verified) ONCE and will never do it again!
At this speed:

1- Steering: SUCKS big time
2- Brakes: Become non exisant
3- Noise: CAN YOU HEAR MEEEEE?

No thanks, I'm fine with 120-130 km/h on highways (hate 'em anyhow) in my Jeep...
