Good luck on the build. I'll be watching it closely. I saw the write-up in 4wheel Drive about "Straight to Rediculous", which has a Magnacharged LS2.

There will be a lot of fab work. That build used a custom front subframe for the engine (to include removal of the inner fender wells), and none of the stock dash gauges were retained.

Your big dilemma will be the initial mounting and wiring. Sort that out and you should be good.

BTW, if you have any Q's on the 5.3 (or upgrades for it), PM me. I have over 7 years mod experience on LS engines, to inlude forced induction. (see sig)

how sure are you... about that?, anyways even if i could always keep the jeeps pcm to control the jeep and run the engine as a standalone

That'd would probably be your best bet. Especially since you're planning on running forced induction. Pretty much everything on modern vehicles is controlled through the PCM.

You can do it with a BigStuff3.... but it's expensive. Around $2500. Oh....you can't run the 4L60 as a stand-alone. It's computer controlled. You need either a 700R4 (from a 1993 Chevy) or a TH400. The 700R4 is equivalent to a TH trans with overdrive.....though it isn't as strong for high HP or high torque applications.

i mean im going to run the tranny and the ls1 as a stand alone.... together by the GM pcm... but basicly that the only thing the GM PCM will run.... everything else, will be canceled by HP Tuners
