I did it back a few years ago...summited right at sunrise on Christmas morning. It's a great time to go...the weather should be perfect!

Totally agree! I lived in Japan for three years and I climbed Fuji every one of them. I'm going to start knocking out the 14'ers here before I go back over seas.

I did it 1995 in December it was one of the greatest moments in my life look the sunrise over the Savanna from the top of Africa. But 15 Jears ago there was more snow on top of the kili

I would have gone back for a 3rd, but couldn't find someone else going (driving) when I had time free.
Back home now, internal clock all jacked.
The Koko Head crater hike this spring was but a pale warmup for Fuji, although I found the thin, cool air at altitude to be more to my liking than sea level.
