Default Stock Soft Top Question

I know that a similar question has already been asked about the hard top but what about the soft top. Well my question is this, will a 2008 soft top fit on the 2011 JK?

if i can fit a 10 top on my 07 then im sure an 08 will fit a 11 but you have to change to the older style door surrounds because the pre 10' tops dont use the cable system that the newer tops have. an 08' top will tuck into the door surrounds with plastic channels, not like how the 10-11 tops sinch down against the rails b/c of the cable system.

why are you downgrading to the older style?

It will fit if it's the same jeep as the buyer(2 door or 4 door). Same brackets on all jk models. Only difference would be the soft tops that fold back in the front but I don't believe that would not work. Far as I know they are the same.

We both had 4dr JK's, i just have the regular soft top not the new freedom soft top that folds half way. I dont want to really sell my soft top but he is giving me a real good price on it and before i sell it to him i want to make sure it fits on his new 11 JK. Figured something would be different with the new interior changes as far as fitting or the door surrounds .
