As another viewpoint to all the folks having no problems with their 30's:

Mine was bent with On-Road driving. 6-7 hours labor just to straighten, then new gears since they were toast, and sleeves/gussets, and offests if the C was still bent. So, fix the 30, or upgrade to a PR?

And here is a recent thread with a stock sahara running 32's that drove up onto a curb. Ouch!!

The PR44 is a HUGE improvement over these stock axles. Everyone that says they have not had issues with them needs to add (yet) to their statements. And one simple question for you all. How do you 'know' that it isn't bent already? I'm guessing that a lot of you just don't know it (yet)...

If you can't afford to upgrade, then at least do what you can to strengthen your stock housings. Gussets and sleeves won't give the strength of a PR, but it's a lot better than stock.

FWIW- We just had a customer with 10K street miles on his stock JK. ZERO miles off road. He went in for new ball joints and the shop found the 'C's bent already.

I assume he\she decided against using the factory warranty for repairs or was he\she on the mods list and denied a claim ?

I don't know what they planned to do long term. They knew enough that they didn't want to go back to stock ball joints, warranty or not.

unfortunately, no, or, so far as i know. if you could, you would need to change out your wheels as well and go to a 5x5.5 bolt pattern.

11. Is the ProRock 44 available with a Dana 60 wheel end?
Yes, the ProRock 44 is available with a Dana 60 wheel end. There are several advantages including larger axle shafts, u-joints, ball joints, and a true locking manual hub. These configurations are made to order and sold as a custom assembly. Please contact a Dynatrac sales representative for additional information.
