CB Antenna Mount Question
HEy guys,
I am new to CB's but have everything I need to start my install. I want to mount it on the rear tire rack or somewhere back there...Where exactly are JK owners mounting their antennas? Is it the plastic piece beside the tail light?

i mounted mine right behind the spare tire. Drilled a hole in the oem spare tire rack.. make a mounting bracket to screw into the hole and and mounted the antenna on the bracket. then I ran the cable through the door with the rear brake light cable up to the front of the jeep. took about 30 minutes. easiest way IMO.
if you dont want to make your own bracket... you can buy one at a road ranger or probably any truck stop. Would probably cost you about 20 bucks for alll the pieces.

thats the mount I have....will that work?
Also, will the end of the coax cable fix through the door where the wires or is there a trick to this?
Any pics would be great

that will work just fine. You can easily run the wire though the rubber grommet. You will need to cut it a little but to get the connector to fit through it. WOL has a write on it somewhere...

Here's how I did mine. Biggest expense was the antenna iirc.

No everything clears with room to spare. I trimmed my generic mount on another mambers recomendation. Gave me even more space.
One of the companies makes one that bolts on to the lt or rt side of the tire carrier using the existing tire carrier bolts.
