Default Recommendation on new tires, spacers and budget lift

OK, looking to replace the tires on my stock 2012 Sahara Unlimited. Here is what I want to achieve:

-Biggest diameter tires I can fit on my stock 18" rims.
-More aggressive looking.
-Good in the snow (northeast Ohio snow-belt!!)
-Wider stance so they stick out past the stock fenders a bit.

Should I just plan on a budget lift (and which one?). Will I need wheel spacers, and what thickness?

Thanks all!

Look at the Toyo RTs they are great and come in 12.5 and 13.5 withs and are the only tire of its type with a 45k warranty

Default Tires

You could try 275x65R18 GoodYear Duratracs. Great, aggressive tire. Been running them for a while. You won't need spacers, aboost or even a leveling kit. Also you do not need "e" rated. So they are reasonable. Good Luck!

I had 295/65/18 duratracs (33x12) on a stock jku using 18x9 wheels with a -12 offset. They would clear just fine on stock wheels with a set a spidertrax wheel spacers. 30,000 miles on mine and about 13/32s tread remaining.

Go 315/70/17 Duratracs -very aggressive looking, new wheels with proper backspacing (not much more than spacers), Craigslist your stock wheels, Teraflex 1.5" leveling kit ( assuming you don't boulder crawl regularly), and regear to 4.56 or 4.10. You'll get the look you want. Also, seems 18" tires are more expensive than 17". Someday you, too will regret not going bigger when you had to replace tires anyway.

What thickness wheel spacers did you go with?

Duratracs. I am on my second set. The are quiet, aggressive, and will last a long time.

I'd take a good look at the new Falken A/TW3s.

Heard good compliments with their new A/T W3 and good as cheaper alternative.

Personally, I would go with Duratrac. I think they are good mud and winter tires with the aggressive looks you are wanting. Cousin in MI got 40k miles on there and still got plenty of tire life.

I was pushing 70k on my duratracs. I only put on a new set for a trip on the Rubicon. Could have squeezed a bit more out of them.
