My 2010 Sahara came with the 2 grab handles too. I had them on the back, but I saw the write up for the Chesapeake Lightcraft grab handles and ordered, then installed the grommets. It didn't take long and the I migrated the factory handles to the front and the new ones in back.

I haven't seen the interior hardtop of an 07 model. Would you have to sand down a 2010 hardtop interior? The texture is rough already on mine.

yes.. i did the inside of my top.. its a 2009.. the same as the 2010.. it just needs to be sanded to knock the little coat of "shiny stuff" that they put on as like a clear coat, i guess.. it also helps to give it a rough and clean surface for the paint to stick to.. here are some pics of mine..

this is the template i laid before the paint.

this is the painted top..

and the finished result! PWR.

i do love the bedlined look, but i would be happy with flat black paint/primer.....for a fraction of the price.
I did mine with Duplicolor Self-etching Black Sandable Primer. All I did clean the surface to be painted, masked and sprayed. Came out perfect and has held up fr the past few years. The only spot that shows wear is under the lock levers where they rub on the paint..

I don't know that it was that much less expensive. The bedline goes on thicker and the primer needs a few coats to lay on nice and dark. I think I used four to five cans of primer for the top and panels.

I am picking up a new Mango tonight and will do the same thing once I have the hard-top off.

Has anyone tried this without the sanding/prep? How long did it last? What paint did you use? The inside of my 2011 Sahara top doesn't seem to be glossy at all, not sure why bedliner or black primer wouldn't stick.

Yes.. see one post up!!

I used Duplicolor self etching primer and did no prep other than remove the sticker on the drivers side and give all a good cleaning with Windex. Masked and sprayed. I just traded the JK yesterday and the roof looked great!
