Default 2012 Sahara

Hey there,

Just got my 2012 JK , and am Lovin' it as the people at Mickeyd's would say....

Would it be wise to take it off-road right now, as I'm approaching the 500 mileage mark..

Please note a sandy terrain which means high RPMs... would it affect my engine break-in ?

Rock on !

Hey man, my Sahara comes in this week. can't wait. I don't have a scientific opinion, but personally I am gonna wait til the 1,000 mile mark - i've read on this forum that's the break-in period, although there are differing opinions on the matter.

I've got about 480 miles on my 2012 Sahara and I have had in in some serious mud bogs, ponds, etc. twice and am going again this Friday. I just don't get it too deep or work the engine any more than I need to. I did the same on my last new Jeep and had no problems. I try to keep the mud below the headlights.
