I just installed a 4" superlift kit on my JK. When removing the stock coils, I didn't need the compressor tool. It's only a matter of loosening up the control arms, removing the tires and putting jack stands under the frame high enough to allow the axle to drop down far enough. The springs then came right out. I rented one from Auto zone to install the new coils, and it worked perfect. Hope this helps.

The length of the compressor itself is really inconsequential. I would venture to guess that every one made would be long enough to compress your springs enough to install them...unless you are using springs not made for the JK that are 4 feet long.
