Default Brightest Third Brake Light?

Who makes a much brighter third brake light replacement that fits in the factory mount? Everything I have seen is pretty weak. You would expect that the LED ones would be, but they're not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think the show stopper for you will be finding something that fits in the factory housing.
Regarding the weak ones you have found so far... Are they not as bright as the OEM LEDs?

I've purchased 3/4" LED's and made my own light. Sticking it behind the tire just a little makes it project better. More LED's would make it more visible.

You could do the same thing and just piggyback the stock mount and those two screws on the back. Mine replaced the stock one but I understand a demand for higher visibility.

You could add one of these- homemade or purchased here:
