cover all that blue slicer with rtv, those things are junk in the outdoors!!!!! Cover the whole thing, not just the ends, or future headaches will happen.... And you will be cutting the wires and splicing in new wire because the wire has corroded from the pinch to a couple of inches both ways inside the wires.....

I may actually skin both wires and fold over the strands of the wire that isn't cut that is going to the front blinker connector and solder, heat shrink and gel them. I just wanted to see it work at first, but am now considering better ways to make the connection.

Side lights and mirrors
Yesterday I washed the JK and the little holes in the mirrors were peeing like a race horse! Today the side markers/blinkers - 5 min and works great ! I wonder why Mopar doesn't do that? Hmmm. Thanks again fellow JK'ers!

I got some quick splice wire connectors, but they didn't work. The metal in the middle wasn't sharp enough to cut the plastic on the wire. So I ended up just stripping the plastic and exposing the wire.
I wrapped them tightly with electrical tape. It looks like it will hold and I'm pretty satisfied.
So if you don't have a solder, heat shrink or gel, I feel just electrical tape will do the job.
